The Conjuring

Faustus stalks into the wood to practice what he has learned, prepared to converge his knowledge with the arcane to summon the demon Mephistopheles. As he begins the incantation, the wind kicks up, causing his books to be scattered about. Demonic voices begin to whisper to Faustus as he becomes the center of a whirlwind that rips his books apart, which suddenly subsides as Mephistopheles appears.

Angels’ Entrance

The Angels manifest to sway Faustus’ choices. The Good Angel endeavors to rescue his immortal soul, imploring Faustus to seek redemption. On the other hand, the Evil Angel employs the enticements of earthly pleasures and forbidden knowledge to pull Faustus towards damnation. When they make their presence known, a dissonant angelic chorus echoes, deviating from the typical harmonious associations, adding a unique and unsettling dimension to the scene for the audience.

Mephistopheles’ Transformation

Mephistopheles’ forbidden magic pulls at the weave of creation, causing it to evoke the sound of a swift wind as the fabric of reality is torn asunder by her demonic power, transforming the clowns into animalistic forms.
